1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Silver Pelham, AL
Sold

We call this one a classic driver, and that's the whole brief. The 350 V8 was refreshed rather than replaced, because a healthy small-block is exactly what a 1972 K5 is supposed to sound like. Fox shocks and suspension upgrades took the wander out of the ride, and a fresh coat of silver with new wheels gave the body the clean, honest look these early Blazers wear best.

Inside, we built custom interior panels and wrapped the roll bar in custom leather covers, then put a set of Dakota Digital gauges in the dash so the driver gets modern, readable instruments without the cabin looking like a modern truck. A retro-style custom stereo system rounds it out. It's the kind of interior you can hose the mud off your boots before climbing into and still feel good about.

This Blazer has sold and gone home with its new owner. We keep it here because it's a good picture of what a driver-level K5 build looks like next to our light blue LS3 '72 and the frame-off 1984. Three Blazers, three very different scopes. If you're weighing which direction fits your truck and your budget, the K5 Blazer restoration page walks through all three.
